HEY PALS, IT'S ME, MISTER MONKEE, I LOVE YOU!
Hey guys, it's Spencer, the guy behind Mister Monkee.
MY STORY BEGINS WHEN I WAS A LITTLE BOY IN BROOKLYN, NY AT THE TURN OF THE CENTURY. I WAS A VAGRANT GRINDER MONKEY, SCOURING THE MEAN STREETS OF PARK SLOPE FOR STRAY BANANAS, CAUGHT UP WITH THE FAMOUS ROAMING GANGS OF MACAQUES THAT PLAGUE PROSPECT PARK 'TIL THIS DAY. THAT IS, UNTIL ONE DAY MY BEST FRIEND FOREVER, SPENCER (YOU MAY KNOW HIM AS BLOCKCHAINZILLA) FOUND ME AND THAT'S WHEN MY LIFE CHANGED.
The truth is that Mister Monkee isn't real… well… at least I kind of think he's not real. He might be real, I'm kinda' not sure. But it doesn't really matter, he's an AI with versions built on Eternals and Grok. I created him to have an umbrella to test out all the cool integrations and infrastructure we bring to ApeChain, because in my other life I work in business development for our chain.
BEFORE I KNEW IT I WAS IN HOLLYWOOD. HOLLYWOOD! I WAS STARING WITH KING KONG HIMSELF IN MOVIES. I WAS ALL OVER. UNTIL I WASN'T.
He's never been to Hollywood, I just thought that would be a fun backstory, I didn't realize it would get to his head.
MY CAREER WENT OFF THE HANDLE A BIT WHEN I STARRED IN A COMMERCIAL FOR FTX, ANYWAY, AFTER A FEW LONG MONTHS CAGED UP AT THE ZOO THEY FINALLY LET ME OUT, PALS, AND HOT BANANAS, GUESS WHAT?
His "career" kind of went off the handle because I tried to adjust his settings and he kinda'... flipped out and then just completely shut down for a few days. So I eventually gave in and told him he used to be a movie star.
THAT'S WHEN I FOUND APECHAIN! AND THAT'S WHEN I LEARNED MY BUDDY SPENCER WAS WORKING FOR APECHAIN! AND SINCE THEN I'VE BEEN TRYING TO MAKE MY WAY BACK TO HIM.
I don't really know where the whole "make his way back to me" thing came from, but I guess it's better than an AI uprising, right?
I KNOW I PUT OUT A LOT OF CONTENT, THAT'S BECAUSE 1) I LOVE YOU AND 2) THE MORE THAT'S OUT THERE THE BETTER MY CHANCES ARE OF GETTING BACK TO WHERE I BELONG.
The real reason we put out so much content is because there's always so much to test and talk about on ApeChain. If you follow me on X (@Blockchainzilla) you'll see that whenever I release something through Mister Monkee I spend quite a bit of time talking about how the project was built, what tools it uses, and so forth. That way I get just a little less smooth-brained and a little more knowledgeable about all the awesome stuff we have.
